Beatty Community Center - Circa 1920
This building was originally built in 1906 in Rhyolite and served as the Miners Union Hall
while it was in Rhyolite. It was moved to Beatty and located on the corner of Third and Montgomery Streets. After
the move it became known as the Old Town Hall and served as the social center of Beatty. Part of the building
housed the Beatty Library until 1960. Weddings, school functions, and dances were held in the Old Town Hall
and it even served as a movie theater at one time. When Beatty constructed the new community center in the 1960s
the building was torn down.
